Proposed new development - Ketley Bank regeneration
We are currently working on a new housing scheme off Main Road, Ketley Bank, Telford.
The scheme will:
- Preserve and enhance the historic character of the existing building.
- Deliver refurbished and new build dwellings to meet housing need - managed and maintained by Nuplace.
- Deliver a low carbon and sustainable development.
About the site proposals
The proposed site plan has been developed in consultation with Telford & Wrekin Council’s planning team and to respond to the site’s context as well as site specific constraints determined through investigations which have been undertaken. This includes a refurbishment of the historic Victorian building, to deliver a mixture of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom dwellings, alongside a new build element to the rear of the site, which will include a mixture of 2 & 3 bed dwellings, 5 of which will be bungalows overlooking the open space to the south.
We have sought as far as possible to preserve the street scene on Main Road which will protect and enhance the integrity of the existing building, as well as ensure the key route to the playing fields to the right hand side of the building is maintained.
The layout below provides an overview of how the masterplan for the scheme is progressing.
The properties will be owned and maintained by Nuplace for a mixture of private and affordable rent, with bungalows being let to people with a demonstrable need.
Planning application
A planning application was approved in spring 2023. Construction work will commence from early 2024.
